D-Black inks distributions deal with Universal Music
Ghanaian rapper, D Black has reportedly signed a two-year distribution deal with Universal Music Group. Over the next 24 months, distribution of D Black’s music will be solely handled by the international music group. This is the latest move by the successful hiphop act, who has in recent times inked crucial commercial deals.The UMG deal comes months after he was contracted to shoot a television commercial for local ICT giant rlg. Universal Music Group (UMG) is the largest American music corporation in the world. It currently operates as a subsidiary of Paris-based media conglomerate Vivendi. UMG also owns the Universal Music Publishing Group, the second largest music publishing company in the world.It is headquartered in Santa monica, California and has offices in other countries including South Africa, which would be directly responsible for D Black’s business.
