R2bees sweeps Vodafone Ghana Music Awards with 6 wins

As expected, Tema-based music group, R2bees topped the 2013 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards held at the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday. The group won 6 awards including the ultimate, Artist of the Year, Vodafone Song of the Year, Group of the Year and HipHop/Hiplife Artiste of the Year.



Other multiple award winners include M.anifest with hiphop Song of the Year and Best Rapper of the year, Kaakie with Best Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year and Best New Artist; and Herty Borngreat with Gospel Artist of The Year and Best collaboration of The Year. Nigerian sensation, Wizkid picked up the gong for African Artist of the Year.



The ceremony also saw exciting performances from the likes of Banky W, Wizkid, M.anifest, Fuse ODG, Herty Borngreat, Sarkodie, Asem, Kwaw Kese, Cris Waddle, R2bees, Amanzeba, Kontihene, Akatakyie, VIP and others.
